This month, Kip shares an update on the return to in-person meetings, how to generate more referrals from One-to-Ones, and how to boost your VCP in your BNI Online meeting.
 
 
Quality 1-to-1s = Quality Referrals

Do you want to be able to give and receive more quality referrals? The key to more referrals and better referrals is to hold quality 1-to-1s with your fellow chapter members. Here are the steps to hold 1-to-1s that will have a tremendous impact on your efforts to give and receive more high-value referrals. Be sure to schedule at least ONE 1-to-1 each week with one of your BNI© Members.

Make the Appointment
 
Choose a meeting time and location. It is better if you meet at your 1-to-1 partner's office because you can learn more about his/her business.

Prepare Your Worksheets
 
Take the time to prepare your 1-to-1 worksheets to help you share important information with your one-to-one partner about your business and how to find referrals for you.

Exchange Information Before the Meeting
 
Email your worksheets to your 1-to-1 partner before your meeting. If possible, send one week prior. Study and take note of items to discuss. From their sheets, consider who you know that might be a good introduction for them.

Bring Notes and Worksheets to 1-to-1
 
Bring your your notes and the worksheets to the meeting. Bring other materials that will help you help each other such as testimonials from customers.

Meet with Your 1-to-1 Partner
 
Learn as much as possible about how to find referrals for your 1-to-1 partner. Use the worksheets as a way to get started. Make sure both partners get the opportunity to share. The meeting should be a 50/50 exchange.

Commit and Agree on Goals
 
The key to an effective 1-to-1 is to leave with goals how you will help each other. These can include inviting prospective BNI members from their "Top 3" list or introducing them to someone who you believe would be a great client for them. Don't forget about helping them achieve their goals.
